As mentioned in this post, "The idea is, it's a modern sharehouse comedy/drama, but it's set in 1788 convict Sydney - the British occupation/invasion of the land that became Australia. The characters have no idea they're in some grand sweeping Period Of History: they're more concerned with their own petty human existences, whose turn it is to do the dishes, who's got the most room in the prison tent, that kind of thing." It's a terrifyingly bleak and grimy black comedy, equal parts nastiness and hilarity - at the test-screening we had a few months ago, people were clearly torn between squirming and laughing. Excellent!
As this series will be shown excusively on the web, EVERYONE can watch. CULTURE FOR THE PEOPLE! Woo!
Starring Rich Davies (Offspring), Angus Sampson (Fargo), and Dave Lawson (Utopia), and a wealth of Australia's funniest/most terrifying people, we're all really proud of this thing. Watch it. Go on. How bad could it be?
When it's out, I'll let you know. :)
